Q: What is a Fiduciary Duty?
A: A fiduciary duty is the highest standard of care imposed at either equity or law. Our contracts with our clients include a Fiduciary Oath as follows: "Advisor shall exercise its best efforts to act in good faith and in the best interests of Client. Adviser shall provide written disclosure to Client prior to the engagement of Adviser and thereafter throughout the term of the engagement, of any conflicts of interest which will or reasonably may compromise the impartiality of independence of Adviser." A fiduciary is expected to be extremely loyal to the person to whom they owe the duty (the "principal"): they must not put their personal interests before the duty, and must not profit from their position as a fiduciary, unless the principal consents. The fiduciary relationship is highlighted by good faith, loyalty and trust, and the word itself originally comes from the Latin fides, meaning faith, and fiducia.

Q: What does Fee-Only mean? Do you receive fees or commissions for selling products or do you get referral fees?
A: Fee-Only means that we restrict compensation solely and exclusively to the professional fees we receive directly from the client for professional services rendered to the client. We, nor any related party, receives compensation that is contingent on the purchase or sale of a financial product. Our contracts with our clients include a Fee-Only Guaranty.

A: Most of our clients are 40 to 70 years old. They are employed and retired, single and married. If a client is married, we expect to meet both spouses. One common trait of all of our clients is that they decided that they are too busy to devote the time necessary to properly manage their financial assets, and/or they appreciate the expertise and perspective that we provide to them.

Q: If I work with Cauble & Harre Wealth Management, Inc where are my assets held? Does CHWM have access to my assets?
A: Our clients select a custodian to open an account to hold their assets. The custodian collects dividends and interest, processes trades and any payments made to or from the account. We typically recommend that clients use Fidelity Investments for this purpose. Clients then give us the limited authority to execute trades on their behalf.
